Description
Admiral Sir Charles Bullen Autograph Letter Signed "Cha. Bullen." Three integral pages, 7.5" x 9", "Pembroke Yard [Wales]," July 20, 1835, to Admiral William H. Dillon aboard the HMS Russell concerning mundane matters at home. With a 6.5" x 8.5", sepia-toned photograph of a docked ship, possibly taken at the Pembroke Dock where Bullen (1769-1853) served for a time as commissioner. Bullen served with distinction at the Battle of Trafalgar, where Lord Horatio Nelson was killed. Folds with light toning at the edges.Auction Info
