Description

Geronimo: A Very Desirable Form of this Sought-After Autograph. Geronimo's iconic block letter autograph is on a card picturing an American flag. It is accompanied by a 1923 letter of provenance stating that it was obtained from "a large estate sale in Oklahoma Territory (as it was called then)."
The autograph card and letter have been elegantly matted and framed with a great cabinet card showing the Apache chief holding a rare Texas-mad Dance revolver. On the mount below the photo in period ink: "Geronimo, the notorious Apache warrior now a prisoner at Fort Sill 40 miles South of here." The photo was purchased along with the the other two pieces and is believed to have come with them. It shows light aging and one small corner chip, but still displays very nicely.
Overall measurements as framed, 18" x 16.5".
