Eli Whitney Jr. Arms Inspection Document Signed. 8" x 9.75", New Haven [Connecticut], n. d. This printed document approves various weapons stating that they "have been inspected according to regulations established by the Ordinance-Department." Whitney manufactured all 1,100 Colt Walker revolvers for Colt Firearms from his Connecticut factory. His large, bold signature rests in the lower margin. This document exhibits small tears around the edges; foxing and minor dampstaining.Auction Info
