More Information:

In January 1951, General Douglas MacArthur was busy as commander of the United Nations forces in Korea. Just seven months earlier, the North Koreans attacked Seoul. Four months after MacArthur's strategic success at Inchon, the general met with his senior commanders at the old walled city of Suwan on January 28, 1951. A few months later, in April 1951, President Harry Truman had fired General MacArthur over a disagreement on how to combat the Chinese.
