Confederate General Stephen Elliott, Jr. Clipped Signature "Very Respectfully/ Yr Obt Servt/ Stephen Elliott Jr/ Capt Beaufort Artillery". Elliott fought in the Wilderness Campaign and was wounded at the Battle of the Crater, wounds he would eventually succumb to on February 21, 1866.
