[Civil War]. General Roger A. Pryor General Orders No. 1 Signed. One page, 7.75" x 5.25", "Head Quarters - Forces on Blackwater," December 2, 1862. With this order, Pryor assumed "command of the forces on, and in the vicinity of the Blackwater River." Pryor (1828-1919) did not hold the command for long as he resigned his commission several months later. Folds. Light chipping at the right edge.Auction Info
