Leonid Brezhnev and Georgy Beregovoy Signed Photograph. Signed print of photograph, 5.5" x 4", no place; no date. Print of a photograph of Brezhnev and Beregovoy, in which Brezhnev appears to be presenting something to the famed cosmonaut.Condition: Very good.
Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev (1906-1982) led the Soviet Union as General Secretary of the governing Communist Party (1964-1982) and as Chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet (1977-1982). His 18-year term as general secretary was second only to Joseph Stalin's in duration.
Georgy Timofeyevich Beregovoy (1921-1995) was a Soviet cosmonaut who commanded the space mission Soyuz 3 in 1968. At the time of his flight, Beregovoy was 47 years of age: he was the earliest-born human to go to orbit, being born three months and three days earlier than the second earliest-born man in orbit (John Glenn).
