Description

King Henry II of France Decree (Unsigned). One page on vellum, 20 x 11 inches (sight), no place; 1555. A decree ordering the Chambers of Economic Affairs of Aix-de-Provence to pursue judgment against Pierre Taigne. In 1545, Taigne received goods that were meant to go to the Vaudois or the Lutherans. The decree orders Taigne to return the recovered goods to the heirs of Nicolas Doeil. Framed to an overall size of 25 ½ x 16 ¾ inches.

Condition: Not examined out of frame. Visible flattened folds, toning, and stray staining. Bottom margin has portions missing. Frame is worn.
