Description

John Jay Document Signed. One page, 7.5" x 9", no place; May 5, 1787. The document is titled as "Bill of Mr. Jays Money" with a listing of paper and hard money accounted for before stating he "Recd of Robert Morris one hundred and ten pounds...on account of my past of monies recd. on the sale of lands in the patent to James Marcus Provost & others near Spitsbergh." Docketed on verso. Boldly signed, "John Jay."

Condition: Evidence of dried adhesive residue with two areas of paper attachment on verso indicating previous mounting. Two areas of paper loss repaired with tape on verso. Lightly toned with minor edgewear.
