Sam Houston Document Signed, Washington City, 1847. Sam Houston's colorful public life began with his heroic action during the War of 1812. He served as congressman and governor of Tennessee, spent years among the Indians, was commander-in-chief of the Texas army in the Texas Revolution, then president of the Republic of Texas, and later Texas senator and governor.

Framed item has a Sam Houston Autograph Document "Sam Houston". One page, 4.50" x 6.75". Washington City 12th Feb. 1847. In full. " My Dear Youth, It will afford me pleasure to take two copies of your historical cards. Thine, truly Sam Houston to Master William C. Langdon, New Orleans. Second item is a lithograph image of Houston & last item is a $10 Dollar Government of Texas Treasury note, secretary signed. Over all framed dimensions 20" x 17"
