Robert Todd Lincoln Autograph Letter Signed on War Department letterhead, two pages, 5" x 8", Washington, January 23, 1883, mentions "the War of the Rebellion". Also offered is a Pullman Company ticket signed "Robert Lincoln" as the president of the company. Both items have lightly age-toned; near very fine.

In the letter to Gen. William B. Franklin, Lincoln, the son of Abraham Lincoln, recommends Gen. Nicholas Greusel "who served in the Mexican War and during the War of the Rebellion . . . for the governorship of the Soldier's House at Milwaukee." The signed ticket reads, "The PULLMAN/ COMPANY/ ANNUAL TICKET/ FOR  Mr. Wm. A. Patton and Family, Robert Lincoln/ No. 256." Lincoln served as president and then chairman of the board of the Pullman Palace Car Company from 1898 until his death in 1926.
