Physical Therapy Pioneer Elizabeth Kenny Typed Letter Signed "E. Kenny". One page on Elizabeth Kenny Institute letterhead, 8.5" x 11", Minneapolis, Minnesota, April 18, 1945, to George E. Maines, Flint, Michigan. The letter reads, in part: "I could be in Chicago anytime that is convenient for your committee of Veterans of your Association to meet me providing that it would not clash with another appointment...". Even light toning, very fine condition. From the Judith Kaplan Women's History Collection.

Mainstream American physicians considered the Australian Kenny a quack and an interloper. Her innovative and successful polio treatments, however, soon won Kenny positive recognition among both medical professionals and the general public.
