Phineas T. Barnum Signed Check A check drawn on the Broadway Bank, dated New York, October 25, 1865, for $25.60 payable to his son-in-law and assistant manager S. H. Hurd. It was from Hurd, in July of this same year, that he learned the terrible news that his famous museum in New York had burned to the ground. Signed, "P. T. Barnum." Measures 6.75" x 2.85". Cut cancellation clear of signature, ever so lightly toned at extreme margins, yet still a nice example representing the "king of humbug." Accompanied by COA from PSA/DNA.Auction Info
