Pat Garrett: Multiple-Signed Stock Certificate. Sheriff Patrick Floyd "Pat" Garrett (1850-1908) is a legend of the Old West, mainly by virtue of his killing of William Bonney (real name: Henry McCarty), otherwise known as "Billy the Kid." He never collected the $500 reward for the Kid's capture, since he killed him rather than captured him. Many people second-guessed the action, as Bonney was unarmed at the time. In making his escape from Garrett's jail, Bonney killed two guards, so the Sheriff was not inclined to afford him a second chance. We are offering a 10.5" x 8.5" certificate for 200 shares in "The Alabama Gold and Copper Mining Company" of Jarilla, New Mexico. The certificate is completed in favor of "P. F. Garrett" and dated December 12, 1899. It is signed by the President of the company, "I. M. Llewellyn" and the Secretary, "P. F. Garrett". There are two 50-cent IRS Documentary stamps affixed to the top right corner, signed "P. F. Garrett 12/99". The back side of the certificate is also signed "P. F. Garrett" where he assigns his ownership in the stock to H. D. Bowman. It is nicely matted and framed with double-sided glass so that each side can be viewed.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
