Description
Newspaper Editor Horace Greeley Autograph Letter Signed. One page with integral blank, 5" x 7.5", on New-York Tribune letterhead, New York, November 29, 1870. Greeley, the long-time editor of the New-York Tribune, writes to E.E.C. Scott asking him to call at the Union League Club. The Union League was a private social club founded during the Civil War to support the U.S. Sanitary Commission. Spots of staining and toning with separation at the folds, which have been repaired on the verso with tape.Auction Info
