Description
Lawman Henry A. "Heck" Thomas Document Signed "Heck Thomas" as Deputy United States Marshal. One page, partly-printed form, 8.5" x 14", Fort Smith, Arkansas, September 11, 1888, being an expense voucher for $39.50 for expenses incurred in serving a warrant at Fort Gibson, Indian Territory, on Sept. 9, 1888. Boldly signed at bottom.Thomas was a deadly lawman who, along with Bill Tilghman, cleaned up "Hell's Half Acre," killed Bill Doolin, shot Ned Christie, and arrested over three hundred outlaws in a three-year period.
Condition: Very fine, approximately 2" tear in middle fold.
