Clara Schumann and Joseph Joachim Autograph Music Quotations Signed. The Clara Schumann quote is 8.25" x 3.25" (sight size), n.d., Frankfort. The Joachim quotation is one page, 5" x 2.5" (sight size), May 7, 1889, Berlin. Both quotations are attractively matted and framed (22.5" x 12.25" overall) with cartes de visite of Joachim and Schumann, each 4" x 5.5". Clara Schumann, wife of Robert Schumann was a musician and composer and was considered one of the most distinguished pianists of the Romantic era. Clara often preformed with Joseph Joachim a conductor and composer, and perhaps the most influential violinist of the late nineteenth century. Light toning and foxing, else very fine.Auction Info
