Apollo 15 Crew-Signed Cover with a Robert McCall Painted Cachet. A First Day Cover bearing a se-tenant pair of the "United States in Space/ A Decade of Achievement" 8¢ stamps, cancelled August 2, 1971. These stamps were designed by McCall and celebrated the achievement of Apollo 15's scientific moon mission. The artist has drawn a scene in ink and pastels that includes the lunar module lifting off from the moon. He has signed it at lower left: "Robert T. McCall". He has also signed: "McCall" to the left of the pair of stamps. The crewmembers of Apollo 15 have also signed: "Al Worden", "Jim Irwin", and "Dave Scott". Excellent for display. Excellent condition.
