    Lotte Jacobi print signed by Einstein and the Artist

    Albert Einstein Photograph Signed. Measuring 7.25" x 9.5", this beautiful gelatin silver print shows the scientist deep in thought, wearing a leather jacket, a pen in his right hand and paper upon his lap. On the sheet of paper can be seen mathematical formulas. Areas of silvering are seen along the edges of the image. The image was taken by photographer Lotte Jacobi (1896-1990), who has signed on the mat at the lower right corner, in Princeton, New Jersey, in 1938. Einstein has signed and dated the image: "A. Einstein 19. IV [April] 49." Double matted to an overall size of 12.5" x 15.75".
