Description

Samuel Beckett Three Autograph Letters Signed, two are 5.5" x 4", the other is 5.25" x 4". All were written in Paris. They date from July 2, 1969, January 2, 1971, and August 3, 1971. All are fully written in Beckett's hand and addressed by him. The card dated August 3 has a spot of water fading to the center of the text and rust residue from a paperclip. Otherwise, all are fine. Beckett was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1969 "for his writing, which-in new forms for the novel and drama-in the destitution of modern man acquires its elevation".
