"I Want You for the Navy" World War I "Christy Girl" Recruiting Poster Signed by Howard Chandler Christy, 1917. 25.75" x 40.5". One of Christy's best known recruiting poster features a sultry young woman in a petty officer's jacket. Signed in ink "Howard Chandler Christy" below signature printed on the poster. Born in 1873, Christy died in 1952. Printed by Forbes of Boston. Considerable creasing, some paper loss, restoration, water stain, and linen backed, else near fine.
