Apollo 11 Crew-Signed One Dollar Bill Directly from the Personal Collection of Backup Mission Commander James Lovell, with Signed LOA. A Series 1969 (very appropriate) Federal Reserve Note in crisp, new condition contained in a heavy 8.5" x 5" x 1" Lucite holder. It bears the crewmember signatures of the first lunar landing mission: "Neil Armstrong" (vertically at left), "Buzz Aldrin", and "M Collins". As backup commander, Lovell would have taken Neil Armstrong's place should he have been unable to fly. An incredible item for display. Pristine condition.Included with this lot is a signed letter of authenticity from Lovell on his company letterhead stating: "I hereby certify that this dollar bill - serial number K29550181A was presented to me by Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Mike Collins. This dollar bill is from my personal collection of space artifacts and has been in my possession since I received it from the crew."
