Description

[Revolutionary War] Continental Army Surgeon's Invoice for Services rendered three years prior beginning in 1780. One page, 13" x 8.5" (sight), January 17, 1783, ink on paper by Surgeon John Rose. This bill for 346 pounds, 14 shillings and 7 pence was submitted for medical assistance to Colonel Samuel Blatchley Webb's Third Connecticut Regiment. Notable is that the total sum includes interest on the previously administered services. Gently toned with stray ink stains, otherwise near fine. Framed with an explicatory plaque to an overall size of 23.13" x 25.75".
