Description
William Herbert Dunton Signed Sketch. 5" x 7.5" pencil sketch of a cowboy bronco buster signed "W. H. Dunton-10". Dunton (1878-1936) was a founder of the Taos Society of Artists and specialized in cowboys and Western subjects. There is an inscription, in another hand we believe, that reads: "This is Bud - the Broncho Buster. Ridgwood, N.J." There is a light horizontal fold and small stain in the lower right corner. It is sold together with the cover of "Reminiscences of a Ranchman" by Edgar Beecher Bronson that incorporates a painting of a mounted cowboy by Dunton.Auction Info
