Description
White House: Original Artwork, The White House Library, by Edward H. Lehman. 20" x 27.5" original hand drawn artwork by Ed Lehman signed and dated 1996. Accomplished in watercolor and gouache on art board. The painting depicts the "The White House Library" with its elegant furnishings, and distinctive green patterned theme.This painting is from the collection of Ron and Mary Seeley who visited the artist in his Quakertown, Pennsylvania studio in the early 1990s. After commissioning Lehman to paint the cover for Seeley's new book, "Season's Greetings from the White House: The Collection of Presidential Christmas Cards, Messages and Gifts" as well as their home, they suggested that he paint the White House state rooms again for them.
Condition: Generally very fine condition.
