Edward Borein (American, 1872-1945): Three Etchings Depicting Cattle Driving. As follows.Spring Drive to Grass: Etching and drypoint, 8.625" x 5.625" (image), stamped with artist's signature lower right, titled in pencil lower left.
Cutting Out a Bull, No. 1: Etching and drypoint, 10.75" x 6" (image), stamped with artist's signature lower right, titled in pencil lower left.
Trail Boss I: Etching and drypoint, 8.5" x 7.75" (image), signed in pencil with artist remarque in lower margin.
Literature: J. Galvin, The Etchings of Edward Borein, San Francisco, California, 1971, No. 93, 116, and 85.
Condition Report*:
Trail Boss is framed under glass to 14.25 x 18.75 inches and there appears to be moderate overall paper discoloration and a few handling creases. Not examined out of frame.
Spring Drive is framed under glass to 16.75 x 17.75 inches and there appears to be light overall paper discoloration. Not examined out of frame.
Cutting Out a Bull is framed under glass to 17 x 20.5 inches and there appears to be light overall paper discoloration and a few soft handling creases. Not examined out of frame.
