Scarce, Fine Condition Civil War US Navy Cap Box. Front flap with deeply embossed USN in oval. Exterior with some minor crazing and just minimal flaking on the latch tab. Interior about mint with deep markings of "H. N. Hartzell / U.S. Ord Dept. / Sub Inspector" and maker "B Metzger / Phila." No wool. Overall very fine, sound supple condition.
