Description

Circa 1850 American Folk Art Powder Horn. Extremely well-carved powder hunt that stands around 12" tall. It depicts a hunter packing down the powder in his musket with a ramrod, his faithful hunting dog and three trees populated with doves and a menacing serpent. Unsigned, but obviously the work of a talented carver, likely of Pennsylvania origin.
