Description
J.S. Collins Gun Belt and Holster, c. 1880. The leather belt measures 40" long and 3" wide. The holster is 9" long and accommodates a revolver (stamped "45" on the anchor loop), has a tooled border, and is centrally stamped "J.S. COLLINS & CO., CHEYENNE, WYO." within a cartouche. The same cartouche appears on the anchored end of the belt's tongue billet. There is a row of cartridge loops for forty-two individual rounds.
