Description

F.A. Meanea Gun Belt and Holster, c. 1890. The leather belt measures 38" long and 3-1/2" wide. The 9-1/2" holster accommodates a revolver, has a tooled border, and is centrally stamped "F.A. MEANNA, CHEYENNE" within a cartouche. The cartouche also appears on the tip of the tongue billet. The buckle billet has been personalized with the initials "JH". There is a row of cartridge loops for fifty-three individual rounds and, for unknown reasons, 3 holes have been punched along the belt's lower edge. Both are in good condition showing moderate wear from age and use. The Michael Ward Collection of Western Americana
