Description
N. P. Ames "U.S.N" Navy Powder Flask Dated 1843 and Small Eagle Powder Flask.Including: 1.) U.S. N. powder flask 9 ¾-inches overall. Marked on the top "N. P. Ames / 1843." Ring mounts with original circular brass rings. A nice pre-Mexican War example of this scarce US Navy issue flask. 2.) Small eagle flask, 4 ¾-inches overall, no visible markings.
Condition: 1.) Very good. With a nice dark patina and a few shallow dents. Loading spring is still crisp. 2.) Good. With scattered shallow dents and a solder repair along the edge. Loading spring still functions.
