Description

"Novelty Bank" Mechanical Bank made by J. & E. Stevens Co., Cromwell, CT, circa 1873. Open the door to place a coin on the tray. By touching the door to close it, the spring mechanism is triggered, closing the door and depositing the coin. From the William Esser Collection.
