Description
"Jonah and the Whale" Mechanical Bank made by Shepard Hardware Co., designed by Peter Adams, circa 1890. The coin is placed on poor Jonah's head. When the lever is pressed, the man tries to toss Jonah off the boat. This causes the coin to slide off Jonah's head and into the whale's mouth as Jonah stays in the boat. From the William Esser Collection.Condition: General wear. Working. Very good (80%). Size: 4.75" Tall.
