Frank James: Personally Owned Items with Family Provenance. Offered here are a pair of hair brushes and, most notably, James' eyeglasses. Whenever groups of personally owned items appear at auction, eyeglasses seem to generate particular interest. Perhaps collectors feel they have a more intimate connection with their former owner than other types of objects.This group was purchased from a respected Riba Mobley auction in 1988. The sale featured a nice selection of James material consigned directly by a family member. Excellent condition.
