Description
Western Union: Thomas A. Edison Stock Ticker Tape Machine. Works stamped "M'f'd by T. A. Edison Inc. 7156". The heavy cast iron base has gold-leaf lettering on one side reading: "Quotations Furnished By The Western Union Telegraph Co. Apply To Local Manager." Weighs close to 18 pounds. 8" in diameter, 11" tall without dome, 14" with dome in place. Appears complete, save for spool of ticker tape paper. The brass retains most of its original golden lacquer finish. Shows good age and character. Sold together with the glass dome cover.
