Description

Antique Watch Cane: with Silver and Gilt Knob Handle and Ebony Shaft, c. 1880. The textured silver knob is 1.5" in diameter and studded with gilt stars and dots. The spring-loaded lid has a gilt escutcheon on top engraved with the initials "MIB". The watch is probably continental and dates from 1875 to 1890. The bezel is gilt with gold hands and an enameled dial. The watch appears to be in working condition, but could use a good cleaning. The shaft is ebonized hardwood and measures 35.5" (including the handle and a 1.5" white metal and steel ferrule). A few minor edge knocks, else, very fine.
