Description
Scarce Milanese "Pisan School" Etched Cabasset and Display Stand. The helmet of traditional form, etched with griffins, harps, knights helms and animals, all in vertical bands flanked by roped pattern borders. Plume holder on rear of helmet. Narrow ovoid brim etched with dentate and textured borders. Brass lining rivets but no lining present. Size: 9-inches tall. Sold together with clear acrylic display stand. From the Martin Retting Collection. Condition: Good to very good. Showing age wear, pitting and mottled patina. Losses to rosettes on rivets. Brim with small chip to right side.
