Remington New Model 1861 Conversion Army Revolver. Serial no. 2371, .44 caliber, 8-inch octagonal barrel. Blued finish. Conversion cylinder. Brass triggerguard. Varnished walnut grips with faint cartouche. Condition: Fair. Retaining traces of an old reblued finish, now blended with brown age patina and minor pitting. Crude rivet repair to barrel lug. Hammer marks on cylinder. Grips sanded and refinished. Action good.
