Medieval Gravestone
France.
Ca. 14th century A.D.
13-3/4"H. x 9-1/2"W.
Medieval French Christian gravestone of white marble, carved with a large circle at top bearing a cross having two transepts. Beneath are four lines of inscription: "Here lies Dimon Churs who was wrongfully killed, pray for him." Some edge chips and weathered appearance, but generally excellent condition. Drilled on the base for mounting, but unmounted.
