Early Dynastic period, ca. 2400-2200 B.C.

Sumerian black serpentine cylinder seal with two different scenes. First is a satyr grasping a lion, other is a satyr grasping a bull. A small horned ram having two vertical glyph columns above an unusual tree. Some small upper and lower shallow edge chips, otherwise intact. A large and beautiful example.
