A carved gray stone section of a wall frieze depicting a standing Buddha wearing a long flowing robe, his hair neatly tied in an usnisa and the halo or aureole behind is decorated in relief with lotus buds. he stands on a ledge shelf with a disciple kowtowing at his feet in supplication. The face of the ledge is decorated with a leafy vine pattern and there is sensitive attention to detail throughout, especially on the hair and scrollwork. Loss to the right background and halo, otherwise intact. Areas of white surface patina.
