Description
Grizzly Claw Necklace, c. 1850. 14-1/2" bead to bead, this necklace is comprised of thirteen bear claws strung alternately with dark red mescal beads. Those are on a cotton cord, which indicates a later repair. Tanned hide strings are attached to each end of the cord to maintain the necklace's original look.
