Description
Important Pair of Beaded Hide Moccasins Belonging to Chief Red Cloud. A beautiful pair with popular American flag motif. Original stickers on soles identify these as coming from Red Cloud, and they appear as such on the handwritten pre-1959 inventory of the collection. Soles show clear evidence of use, but the pair is in excellent condition. Included with the lot is a period cabinet photo of Red Cloud, identified in pencil on verso, which was passed down through the family along with the moccasins.From the Rathbun Family Collection.
