Description
Wild West Show Performer "Doc" Carver Letterheads. Dr. W. F. Carver, the "Evil Spirit of the Plains", is featured on these two 9.5" x 12" letterheads, affixed to album pages. The first, titled "Dr. Carver Scout Wild West", shows scenes from the Carver show as well as three other famous Carver's in American history (supposedly ancestors of "Doc" himself!). Dating from the 1890s, this example has minor faults. The other example shows Carver's visit to Chicago in 1894 in conjunction with a championship challenge, plus awards presented to Carver.Auction Info
