Description
Howard Chandler Christy: Will Rogers Poster. 17" x 26" poster on textured paper titled "Will Rogers Memorial Fund" by "Howard Chandler Christy 1935". The beloved humorist, killed in a plane crash with Wiley Post that year, is depicted crowned with a laurel wreath by "America". A few very minor pinholes in the extremities, ink notation ("11935") at very top and embossed blind stamp of the "Rochester Historical Society Library" in the top right corner (their stamp and label on verso, as well).
