Heritage-Slater Americana to Auction Rare Manuscripts, Autographs and Historical Documents!

Dallas, Texas: Heritage Slater-Americana (HSA) will present an auction of rare and desirable Manuscripts, Autographs and Historical Documents on Wednesday, April 13 in their Dallas, Texas headquarters.

"We'll be offering over 500 lots of high-quality items," said Tom Slater, Director of HSA, "including a hand-written love letter by the great Romantic poet, John Keats - the last such letter known to exist in private hands - and a volume of Lord Byron's early works, including The Giaour, The Bride of Abydos and The Corsair, with notes and corrections in the great poet's own hand."

"Since our main focus is American history," continued Slater, it's no surprise that we have a great selection of Presidential material, including a letter from George Washington, written during the Revolutionary War, a wonderful Matthew Brady carte de visite featuring Abraham Lincoln as well as a legal brief written entirely in Lincoln's own hand."

"Focusing on the South and the West," Slater continued, "we are also offering a rare Confederate Naval Commission signed by Jefferson Davis as the rebel President a J.E.B. Stuart note and multiple examples from Robert E. Lee, as well as a Sitting Bull autograph and a signed Geronimo photo."

"Another interesting lot in this sale," Slater added, "is a small WWII Japanese Imperial flag autographed at the military prison by over 35 accused Japanese war criminals. Included are Prime Minister Tojo and all the other seven who ultimately were hanged. It's a fascinating relic from a war that reshaped world history."

Each lot has been carefully examined and researched, and will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from PSA/DNA, a nationally-recognized authentication service.
