Description

Gemini 4 Crew-Signed 1965 Time Magazine Cover. The June 11, 1965 issue depicting White and McDivitt on the cover, boldly signed "Edward H White II" (1930-1967) and "James A McDivitt" across their images. This was the second manned mission in the Gemini series and the first multi-day U.S. space flight. It was historically significant as White took the first American "space walk," tethered to the outside of the spacecraft, for twenty-two minutes. McDivitt would later command Apollo 9. White was slated to be command module pilot for the first Apollo flight but was tragically killed in a training exercise fire at Cape Kennedy on January 7, 1967. Very fine condition with original mailing label intact.
