Description

Fred Haise Signed Apollo 13 "Lost Moon" Lunar Surface Color Photo, with Added Comments. A 10" x 8" silk finish photo on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Supreme paper of Crater Chaplygin covered by part of the spacecraft, NASA image AS13-62-8909, signed in silver felt tip: "Close up view of our 'Lost Moon!'/ Fred Haise/ Apollo 13/ 1970". Excellent.

This image captures part of the Apollo 13 Lunar Module in orbit around the Moon, taken during the ill-fated mission in April 1970. The spacecraft's distinctive forward hatch and docking window are visible, with the lunar surface seen below. It's one of the more evocative Apollo 13 views because it represents the crew's closest approach to a landing that never occurred.
