James Madison and James Monroe: Dual-Signed Land Warrant. 12 1/2" x 16 1/2" printed and manuscript parchment document, Washington, D.C., April 2, 1811. It grants Revolutionary veteran Daniel Bedinger "266 acres between the Little Miami and Sciota rivers, north west of the river Ohio." Madison signs as President, and Monroe as Secretary of State.Condition: Original seal at lower left edge. Madison's signature is light, Monroe's dark and bold. Overall a fine example.
