James Lovell Signed Photo Receiving Honor for Gemini 12 from President Johnson. A vintage glossy B&W NASA press photo 67-H-1462, with purple ink press caption on verso, depicting a prestigious ceremony in the White House Rose Garden. The image captures President Lyndon B. Johnson presenting the Harmon International Trophy, one of aviation's highest honors, to three giants of the aerospace industry. Signed in black felt tip: "James Lovell". Excellent.The trophy was awarded to James Lovell and Buzz Aldrin in recognition of their record-breaking Gemini 12 mission in 1966, which concluded the Gemini program and mastered the art of EVA and space docking. Alvin S. White received the honor for his pioneering work as the chief test pilot for the XB-70 Valkyrie, specifically for his sustained Mach 3 flight exploration.
